It is with great regret that OAV announces that Shelby Powers lost her battle with cancer yesterday. Shelby was a guiding light for Opticians in Virginia and a pioneer in the field of Contact Lenses. She blazed a trail in a profession that was largely made up of men, opening doors for women to enter into the profession. Shelby will be missed greatly. More details will follow.
